Basking in the rainbow
Today is an awesome day.
Today consenting adults who love each other have the right to take vows and formalize their union.
It is beautiful.
I am truly basking n the glow from all of the rainbows filling up my Facebook and Twitter feeds.
I have many LBGT friends – and to know that their unions are equal to and as protected as mine brings me an immeasurable amount of joy.
I will have the chance to officiate at a wedding – my first – and it will be for a lovely couple who happen to both be women. Thanks to this ruling, that wedding can now happen in our home state of Texas!
Today I am very proud to be an American.
